Zhiqing is an accomplished occupational therapist specialising in hand and upper extremity rehabilitation, with over 10 years of clinical experience dedicated to helping patients regain function, independence, and quality of life. Her expertise lies in the assessment and treatment of complex hand and upper limb conditions, where she combines advanced clinical knowledge with a highly personalised, patient-centred approach to rehabilitation.

After graduating from Trinity College Dublin, Zhiqing began her clinical practice at Singapore General Hospital. It was there that she discovered her passion for hand therapy and developed a strong foundation in upper extremity rehabilitation.

In recognition of her dedication and potential in this specialised field, Zhiqing was awarded a scholarship in 2018 to pursue advanced training in the United States. She subsequently earned a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from Tufts University in 2019. In the same year, she achieved the prestigious HTCC specialty certification in hand therapy — a significant professional milestone that reflects advanced competency and specialised expertise in the treatment of hand and upper extremity conditions.

During her training in the U.S., Zhiqing also had the privilege of receiving mentorship and clinical attachment opportunities at internationally renowned centres, including the Massachusetts General Hospital Hand and Arm Center, further strengthening her expertise in evidence-based hand rehabilitation.

Zhiqing remains deeply committed to advancing the field of hand therapy through ongoing professional development, research, and education. She actively presents at local and international conferences, contributes to peer-reviewed publications, and participates in professional communities including the American Society of Hand Therapists, Singapore Association of Hand Therapy, and Singapore Society for Hand Surgery. She has also played an active role in mentoring future occupational therapists as a clinical educator with the Singapore Institute of Technology.
